Summary: Over the past years, The Party and State have had many policies and prioritized resources for comprehensive social – economic development, infrastructure, poverty reduction, human resource development and social protection for ethnic minorities. Apart from achievements, social protection for ethnic minorities remained many shortcomings, which affected efficiency of policies, lowered access levels and benefits from social protection of ethnic minorities. By assessing actual situation of current policies, the article proposed some general recommendations to improve social protection policy system for ethnic minorities in the coming time.
