Abstract: This article gave overview of some methodologies to identify the poor and poor households in some countries in the world, the content included: (i) Generalizing process of change in perception of poverty in the world ; (ii) Reviewing methodologies to target the poor, poor households in some developing countries, which referred to the process of developing criteria for identifying the poor and poor households, determining criteria using for targeting as well as a way to implement the process and calculation methods to identify group of the poor/poor households.
