Achievements

The research topic has made it clear that in SMEs in handicraft villages, the labor environment is severely polluted by dust, noise and toxic chemicals from old machinery, outdated manufacturing technology and processes. Most of these enterprises are based in residential areas, thus seriously affecting not only laborers’ health but also the nearby community. There is a lack of management and supervision of levels and sectors in implementing labor standards in medium/small enterprises in handicraft villages.

The research aims to suggest solutions to improve labor environment, motivate the implementation of labor standards in SMEs in handicraft villages, including:

Completing institutions, strengthening the implementation of legal documents on labor and on improving and protecting labor environment in enterprises in handicraft villages.

Associate handicraft village planning with improving labor environment

Making suggestions on management and techniques that can be applied in enterprises by types of sectors and manufacturing businesses.

Encouraging socialization of the protection of handicraft village environment and diversification of investments in protecting and improving the environment.

Raising people’s awareness by training, propagating through audio visual media and mass communication, through meetings with the residential community.
