Summary: Climate change is affecting the entire economy and livelihood of the people, especially the poor and vulnerable population groups. Climate change impacts that are related to labor and social issues have been identified as: labor and employment; poverty and poverty alleviation; increase social support needs and issues of child care and protection. Climate change is and will continue to be the challenges that impede the process of sustainable development and poverty reduction achievements of Vietnam. From the perspective of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs sector, the proposed solutions mainly focus on policy integration, building and development of programs to support risk mitigation and livelihood diversification for people. These solutions are aimed to ensuring: (i) human security (life and health); (ii) living conditions (living and access to basic services);, and (iii) secured livelihood (recovery, improvement and diversification of livelihood).
